Bridging Academic and Practical Law
The Centre for Practical Legal Training at ICLS was established to close the gap between academic study and real‑world practice. As the only University of London Recognised Teaching Centre with this facility, it ensures students graduate with both theoretical knowledge and practical skills in domestic law and procedures.
Hands-On Legal Experience
Students gain exposure to diverse practice areas including civil litigation, criminal trials, arbitration, corporate negotiations, contract drafting, and family law. They also learn client interaction skills, preparing them for professional practice while still at law school, without additional cost or time.
Access to Real Cases
Through ICLS’s affiliated law firm, students engage directly with ongoing cases. This unique opportunity allows them to participate in drafting, filing, negotiations, and trial preparation, offering unparalleled insight into the complexities of legal proceedings.
Workshops and Programmes
The Discover Law Summer Workshop and annual training programmes provide immersive introductions to the legal field. With University of London taster sessions and guided visits to institutions like the Lahore High Court and Punjab Assembly, participants gain first‑hand exposure to the legal system in action.
